Solana Mobile launches SKR airdrop for Seeker phone community
Solana Mobile launched an airdrop of its native cryptocurrency SKR on Tuesday, enabling Seeker phone users and active dApp players to acquire the asset.
The release stated, “Seeker and SKR posit that an alternative approach to mobile exists: that the network's users should possess ownership of the network.” “Currently, more than 100,000 individuals can assert their claim to that future.”
As per its Tuesday statement, Seeker phone users can redeem their SKR tokens using the integrated wallet. A 90-day period is allotted for claiming tokens, after which unclaimed allocations will revert to the airdrop pool.
Developers who launched a “quality app” on the dApp Store during season 1 are also eligible for the airdrop, according to the notification.

Control, economics, incentives, and ownership throughout the ecosystem are all powered by SKR, the native asset. 30% of its 10 billion total supply is set aside for launch unlocks and airdrops.
Because inflation events would happen every 48 hours, Solana Mobile advised airdrop users to stake their tokens. SKR has a linear inflation schedule to compensate early adopters. Every year, annual inflation starts at 10% and drops by 25%. According to the project's official website, the rate stabilizes for all subsequent issuances once it hits the 2% threshold.
On Wednesday, Seeker's Season 2 campaign, which includes additional apps, awards, early access, and focus areas like DeFi, gaming, payments, trade, and DePIN, will also debut.
Seeker is an Android device and the successor of Solana Mobile's first product, the Saga. It is equipped with blockchain functionalities, including a hardware security solution known as Seed Vault key storage and an integrated Solana dApp Store. In August, Solana Mobile announced that it had secured 150,000 preorders for Seeker, with deliveries to more than 50 countries.
As per CoinGecko data, SKR is currently trading at $0.01062, reflecting a 54% increase over the last 24 hours.
