As the crypto exchange strives to popularize its services among mainstream audiences in the United States and worldwide, Hollywood actor Matt Damon will join Crypto.com as a brand ambassador.
The move is part of a bigger global marketing drive for Crypto.com, which has more than tenfold increased its user base since 2020 as interest in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin has soared.

Crypto.com will spend more than $100 million on the campaign, which will include advertisements featuring Damon and directed by cinematographer Wally Pfister and will air in more than twenty countries.
According to Damon in an interview, “I’ve never done an endorsement like this.” The two companies hope this is the beginning of an amazing long-term cooperation. Other notable Crypto.com employees include mixed martial artist Ronda Rousey, basketball star Carmelo Anthony, and snowboarder Lindsey Jacobellis, among many more.
Although Damon has endorsed Crypto.com, he has stated that he is a conservative investor who prefers to “ride or die” with the economy, regardless of the endorsement.
Crypto.com has now established partnerships with Formula 1, the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and Italy’s top soccer league, among other organizations. It has also done business with the French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Montreal Canadiens, and the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One team, among others.
Cryptocurrency exchanges and platforms such as Crypto.com, FTX, and Coinbase are investing heavily in marketing this year, as well as forming partnerships with sports leagues and organizations. Celebrities such as Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen, and Amitabh Bachchan are also getting engaged, working their way up the ranks through various endorsements and sponsorships.
