FTX Flips Shiba Inu as Biggest Token Position Among Whales
According to data from the WhaleStats analytics platform, FTX has flipped Shiba Inu to become the largest token position in USD.
SHIB had previously held the coveted distinction of being the largest token held by the top 1,000 ETH wallets in terms of USD.
The native crypto asset of FTX, a cryptocurrency derivatives trading platform, is FTT. The current price per FTT is $37.55, showing a 2.77 percent gain in the last 24 hours.
According to CoinMarketCap data, FTT has a circulating quantity of 138,768,340 coins and is the 32nd largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.
According to WhaleStats, the top 1,000 Ethereum wallets now possess $1,506,665,200 worth of FTX tokens, accounting for 14.52 percent of all token holdings that accept ETH. Ethereum whales own $1,494,649,701 worth of Shiba Inu, accounting for 14.4% of total holdings.
The little difference between the two tokens enhances the possibility that the positions may be reversed soon, with SHIB restoring its previous position.
According to WhaleStats data, the Shiba Inu holder base continues to increase, with a current holder count of 1,130,172. At press time, Shiba Inu was trading at $0.0000279, ranking 13th in terms of market capitalization.
Whales are starting to congregate once more
During instances of dips and consolidation, large crypto investors tend to increase their holdings in anticipation of better pricing. According to WhaleStats, as the market looks for relief from recent falls, Fantom and Chainlink are among the top 10 tokens whales are buying.
In the last 12 hours, WhaleStats recorded three major Chainlink trades. To begin with, an ETH whale rated 122nd among the top 1,000 ETH wallets tracked by WhaleStats purchased 36,999 LINK, or $1,020,445 in value.

Second, another ETH whale rated 126th purchased 38,001 LINK, valued at $1,048,067, while another whale ranked 997th purchased 65,999 LINK, worth $1,851,285 on the data tracking site.
