Socios.com, a football fan token platform, debuted its first global advertising campaign this weekend, featuring ‘football gods’ Alessandro Del Piero and Lionel Messi.
The Socios.com platform, founded by former gaming entrepreneur Alexandre Dreyfus, works with football teams and leagues to build and distribute Blockchain customized fan tokens, rewarding fans with unique prizes and experiences.
Dreyfus emphasizes that, in addition to prizes, fan tokens will alter fans’ involvement with clubs and players through the usage of Blockchain and another web 3.0 advancements.
Socios’ campaign was ‘leaked’ to football transfers specialist – Italian writer Fabrizio Romano – who informed his 7.8 million Twitter followers of a “comeback for a renowned Italian number 10 with Leo Messi.”
“Alessandro Del Piero was a virtuoso footballer, one of the best players ever and respected worldwide for his play and elegance. Having his support, especially in Italy, where we have 10 partners, is very important,” Dreyfus commented on the launch of Socios’ first global campaign.
“With Del Piero and Messi, we are now ready to take the next step in our evolution, which will come thanks to this new TV campaign that will bring us closer to our goal of making Fan Tokens and the Socios.com app essential elements in fans’ lives.”
Socios.com secured a three-year sponsorship agreement with Lionel Messi worth an estimated $20 million in March. Messi backed the collaboration, saying, “Fans need to be recognized for their support.” They are entitled to influence the teams they support.
