Signal has added a new crypto payment feature to its messaging service. and the new Signal payment feature uses MobileCoin (MOB) network.
Messaging Privacy-Aware App Signal added a new “Signal Payment” feature. Note that only UK customers who use the version Beta Signal are available and accessible with the payment feature.
The Signal payment option also utilizes MobileCoin’s crypto-peer (P2P) network.
Signal wishes to facilitate the private sending and receipt of money for customers without any counterparty risk, according to a report. It is intended to speed up transactions and to send and receive messages.
To start using the payment function, qualified users only need to connect their MobileCoin wallet to the signal. In addition, users are able to send and receive MOB tokes without hassle after connecting the MobileCoin wallet.
Indeed users can also check their wallet history and keep records of their money in the Signal App, apart from making transactions. Moreso will safely store and encrypt user financial information.
Signal also indicated that in future, it is going to upgrade its beta tests. Signal said in particular that beta expansion mainly depends on feedback from users based on experiences. No date for beta expansion is however specified.
