Jamaican reggae man Bay-C has collaborated with Caricoin, a London-based Bitcoin (BTC) wallet organization, to make a nonfungible token (NFT) platform for individual entertainers in the Caribbean.
Reggae and dancehall artists in the Caribbean may before long have a nonfungible token to help deal with their innovative work.
As indicated by a report by the Jamaica Observer, the arranged NFT platform will permit reggae and dancehall creatives in the Caribbean to acquire from their endeavors in the music industry.
The NFT platform for artists in the Caribbean is a further expansion of the three-year association among Caricoin and the reggae star. Remarking on the plans for the NFT plaftform, Bay-C expressed:
“Not everybody wants to understand how the blockchain technology works, some just want to get the content out; know that they have this NFT, so we’re trying to make it as easy as possible for as many people in the Jamaican and Caribbean creative space.”
According to Bay-C, the planned NFT platform for Caribbean reggae stars will come online before the end of 2021. The reggae star said he is encouraging his colleagues to get involved with NFTs.
The upcoming reggae NFT platform is another example of Caricoin’s continued expansion in the Caribbean. The U.K. Bitcoin wallet company made Jamaica its home back in 2015 and announced plans for a crypto exchange back in 2016.
Bay-C has some past experience with NFTs, delivering seven duplicates of one of his tunes as computerized tokens. The reggae star supposedly plans to grow his NFT raid by delivering computerized collectibles as a feature of his second full collection, King Bass.
Proprietors of the King Bass NFT assortment will allegedly access redeemable and unlockable substance just as coupons and playing a game of cards.
