On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, Robinhood Wallet announced the inclusion of some of its users’ most-requested features.
The company launched its non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet in September 2022, with limited features and initial support for only Polygon.
Robinhood Wallet Support: Bitcoin And Dogecoin
The company announced the launch of Bitcoin and Dogecoin storage, transmit, and receive support for all users. Additionally, the Wallet facilitated in-app exchanges on the Ethereum network. Users can now possess, communicate, and receive cryptocurrencies on the Arbitrum, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Optimism, and Polygon networks.
In addition, they can exchange cryptocurrencies on Ethereum and Polygon and connect to a vast array of decentralized applications (DApps).
The company stated that it was encouraged by the adoption and had, therefore, increased support for new networks and tokens. The general manager of Robinhood Crypto, Johann Kerbrat, stated,
“We have been really encouraged by the adoption so far, and are excited to keep building for our customers around the world as we ship new features and expand support for new networks and tokens.”
In addition to the wallet feature enhancements, the company has recently released a Web3 browser that enables users to access dApps directly from the Wallet.
Robinhood Wallet is currently available to all iOS users, with support for Android devices anticipated to be added in 2023. The company announced that Android users can join the waitlist to be notified when the product becomes available.
The Robinhood team stated that, in response to user requests, the company is “Actively working to broaden access to other low-cost, fast, and secure Layer 2 chains that users have asked for.”
