dForce, a DeFi network, has announced the launch of the dForce Grants Program (DGP), an initiative to provide financial, technical, and consultative support to creative projects within its ecosystem.
dForce offers a suite of protocols for lending, stablecoins, and synthetic assets. It has unveiled a new initiative to foster community-driven innovation within its ecosystem. The network has launched the dForce Grants Program (DGP), a groundbreaking program that aims to support and nurture visionary projects that can enhance the growth and diversity of the dForce network.
The DGP results from the DIP061 proposal, which was unanimously approved by the dForce community. The proposal outlined the vision and objectives of the DGP, as well as the budget and evaluation criteria. The DGP reflects dForce’s commitment to the expansion and diversification of its ecosystem, as well as its recognition of the importance of community involvement in the future of DeFi.
The DGP will provide financial, technical, and consultative support to creative projects that can benefit the dForce network and its users. The program will empower developers, innovators, and community members to bring their ideas to life and to collaborate with other projects within the dForce ecosystem.
The DGP will start with a pilot program that will last for two quarters. The program will have a generous budget of up to $50,000 in $DF tokens, the native token of the dForce network. The program will be divided into two categories of grants:
- Micro Grants: These grants are for smaller-scale projects requiring less than $5,000 funding. They are suitable for individual developers or small teams who want to explore innovative ideas or test new concepts.
- Community Grants: These grants are for more substantial projects requiring $5,000 to $50,000 funding. They are ideal for more mature projects that have the potential to make a significant impact on the dForce network, such as new protocols, features, or integrations.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the detailed guidelines and application process available on the dForce forum. Submitting proposals must follow a prescribed format, ensuring a transparent and fair evaluation process by the dForce Grant Committee. The initial phase results will guide the potential expansion and future direction of the DGP.
In addition to the DGP, dForce has also embarked on a 60-day campaign following the receipt of an STIP grant from the Arbitrum ecosystem. Arbitrum is a layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum that offers fast, secure, and low-cost transactions. The campaign is focused on promoting protocol integrations with USX and/or Unitus on the Arbitrum network, enhancing the interoperability and reach of the dForce ecosystem.
The campaign, featuring an open grant paid in ARB tokens, the native token of the Arbitrum network, aims to incentivize developers to engage in meaningful integrations that benefit both dForce and Arbitrum users. The integrations must adhere to the Arbitrum STIP Eligibility Requirements, which include technical, security, and user experience standards.
The move signifies dForce’s strategy to not only grow internally but also to strengthen its connections with other key players in the DeFi space. By collaborating with Arbitrum, dForce hopes to leverage the advantages of layer-2 scaling and offer its users a better and more efficient DeFi experience.
