Coinbase introduces a new generation of wallet-as-a-service, Coinbase Embedded Wallets, empowering developers to create non-custodial wallets.
In accordance with the platform’s announcement on January 23, the embedded wallet service would enable developers to create non-custodial cryptocurrency wallets. It will be an enterprise-grade solution built on Coinbase’s Wallet-as-a-Service technology.
“Secured by advanced MPC technology from the world’s most reputable name in crypto, Coinbase Embedded Wallet is the easiest, fastest, and most secure way for brands and builders to bring the world onchain.”
Just a small number of people can currently participate in the experiment; to apply for a wallet, users must fill out a form. Coinbase will use a user’s personally identifiable information to help with alpha testing and get in touch with interested developers.
Coinbase introduced a new wallet function last month that facilitates international money transfers. These days, users can send money simply by sending a link through various platforms, such as social media and popular messaging apps.
Compatibility with more social networks and messaging apps, including Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Tiktok, Telegram, Snapchat, and email, was introduced with the update.
Furthermore, Coinbase added the Instamint feature to its platform, enabling users to use AI to produce non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Coinbase is providing a free NFT experience for a certain period.
