In order to introduce its new blockchain World Chain, Worldcoin has partnered with Web3 infrastructure platform Alchemy.
The new blockchain is a platform whose primary use cases are digital identification and decentralized finance (DeFi), with the goal of providing practical usefulness to the worldwide community.
According to a statement from the two organizations, Worldcoin will take advantage of Alchemy’s Web3 infrastructure for dependable performance and community-driven expansion.
The World Coin announced the launch of World Chain in April of this year, describing it as a blockchain designed specifically for people. The platform interfaces with Ethereum, Coinbase, and other Superchain networks and is based on Optimism’s OP Stack.
In April, Worldcoin announced that the authentication system for World Chain’s proof of personhood technology would be designed to discourage bots and be suited for human use.
Therefore, when it comes to blockspace and gas allowance, verified users will have precedence. Developers will be able to contact millions of genuine people with applications that improve everyday life and give practical utility because to the project’s emphasis on authenticated humans.
Project Targets 10 Million World App Users
According to the companies, World Chain can launch at scale and reach over 10 million World App users thanks to its cooperation with Alchemy. As stated in today’s release, World Chain developers will utilize Alchemy’s solution to gain access to indexing services, data APIs, and other essential technologies to power global apps intended for daily use.
Account abstraction infrastructure is one of the tools, and it is essential to the safety and security of self-custodial wallets.
“We’re excited to partner with Worldcoin to deliver essential infrastructure and foster developer growth for World Chain,” Noam Hurwitz, engineering lead at Alchemy, said. “With over six years of proven experience ensuring guaranteed uptime for major web2 and web3 enterprises, Alchemy is uniquely positioned to support the over 10M World App users at launch,” he added.
A developer preview of World Chain is scheduled for release soon, according to Worldcoin. As a result, initiatives will be able to begin developing on the blockchain before the chain’s official launch later this year.
