The XRP explorer XRPScan has clarified the assertion that Elon Musk is the owner of over 16 million XRP.
Not all wallet addresses or accounts that bear the name of a specific individual, particularly public figures such as Elon Musk, are associated with that individual. An XRP devotee was previously informed of this by XRPScan.
Is It Elon Musk?
A screenshot of an XRP account summary that purportedly belongs to the user “Musk” was shared by X user @UniverseTwenty. The account, which was activated on November 25, 2013, currently holds 16.78 million XRP. This asset is estimated to be worth $9.96 million. The current price of one unit of XRP is $0.5935, representing a 3.79% decrease in the past 24 hours.
The X user promptly deduced that Tesla CEO Elon Musk owns the 16.78 million XRP. Nevertheless, XRPScan responded to the post by asserting that it was exceedingly improbable that it was Musk’s account. It also clarified that individuals could claim a domain name, email address, or username if they acted promptly. Given this information, inferring that the oligarch owns the XRP account appears premature.
Highly unlikely this is Elon’s account. Just as anyone could claim [email protected] or https://t.co/YGotGysSXS if they were early enough.

Furthermore, Musk fervently advocates cryptocurrencies and is quite outspoken regarding his beliefs. This action is readily apparent in his parade of dog-themed memecoins, including Dogecoin (DOGE) and Bitcoin (BTC). However, he has never indicated that he supports XRP.
Musk may participate in Bitcoin conference
For the past few weeks, there have been rumors regarding Elon Musk and Donald Trump possibly attending the forthcoming 2024 Bitcoin Conference. It all began when David Bailey, the CEO of Bitcoin Magazine, hinted at a “breaking the internet” update related to Musk and Trump.
Eleanor Terrett, a reporter for FOX Business, recognized the indication, noting that Musk’s attendance is conceivable due to his affection for Bitcoin and his friendship with Donald Trump. Additionally, she underscored the event’s increasing importance.
The speculation was further intensified by Musk’s arrival in Tennessee on July 21. The Bitcoin Conference is scheduled to occur from July 25 to 27. The intrigue was further piqued when he altered his profile picture on X to one featuring a laser eye. The laser eye is a widely recognized symbol in the Bitcoin network.
Musk did not explicitly address the possibility of his attendance at the event; however, he did mention that “Grok is being trained in Memphis.”
