Helika reported a rise in NFT engagement and longer player sessions in Telegram’s gaming ecosystem in Q3 2024.
According to the research, the number of unique wallets exchanging NFTs throughout the quarter increased from 200,000 to over 1 million, with 600,000 wallets actively engaged in NFT transactions within games.
Additionally, players play Telegram games for longer. Average session durations almost doubled from 2.8 to 6.7 minutes, indicating that better game design keeps players interested.
Regional data shows that, in contrast to other Web3 platforms, Telegram’s gaming audience is shifting, with 55.91% of players originating from Europe as opposed to Asia and Latin America, where Web3 gaming has historically flourished.Â

Of the 48 million players that joined X Empire, 18 million linked their wallets in order to interact with the game’s features.
As per the claim, Banana had 10 million users by October, and Rocky Rabbit had 30 million players. In its first week, Wonton had more than a million users.
However, the report also emphasized the difficulties creators face as a result of the deluge of new games on the platform. User acquisition and restricted marketing resources are challenges for small development teams.
Telegram’s gaming environment is growing beyond basic, casual games as developers add a greater range of experiences, including simulations, role-playing games, and puzzles.
