AMC will Accept Dogecoin and Shiba Inu for Payment

AMC CEO Adam Aron just said on Twitter that the world’s largest movie theater chain will “most likely” introduce support for the most popular meme coins, Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, in March.

I have been repeatedly asked when AMC expects to routinely accept Dogecoin and Shiba Inu for any and all payments made via the movie theater web site and mobile app. I am being told that we are still well on track for the promised Q1 implementation, with exact timing most likely in March. pic.twitter.com/QSBvLAMHKx

The two canine cryptocurrencies will be accepted on the company’s website for all types of transactions.

The Movie Theater allow Dogecoin to be Used to Purchase Tickets

According to U.Today, Aron conducted a Twitter poll in late October to determine whether Shiba Inu should be included among the accepted cryptocurrencies.

The vast majority of respondents agreed that SHIB should be added to the payment options.

The movie theater CEO said in mid-November that Shiba Inu support would be added within the next four months on Twitter.

This came after Aron’s Twitter followers overwhelmingly voted to allow Dogecoin to be used to purchase tickets.
