After previously halting EUR deposits and withdrawals last year, Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has reopened EUR bank payments through SEPA.
Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by daily traded volume, has partnered with PaySafe and announced the resumption of EUR payments via SEPA.
As of January 26th, 13:00 UTC, this has already taken effect. If your account was previously blocked, check to see if deposits and withdrawals using the methods listed above are now possible. The change is made possible through a collaboration with Paysafe.
Users are selected based on a range of testing criteria to participate in the pilot program. The full re-opening of SEPA channels will scale up across the markets in due course. – Reads the announcement.
This comes several months after the exchange banned payments from the SEPA network in June 2021. This occurred during a period when the leading crypto trading platform was under increased regulatory scrutiny, but it looks that things are changing today.
The announcement has sparked a bullish reaction in the market, with Bitcoin trading above $3,800 and Ethereum trading above $2.6k.
