The European soccer giant AC Milan has partnered with the popular Bitcoin derivatives exchange BitMEX. The exchanges’ logo will officially be on the sleeves of both male and female players of the club.
BitMEX has teamed up with AC Milan to become the team’s Official Sleeve Partner as well as its Official Cryptocurrency Trading Partner.
The logo of the derivatives exchange will be placed on the sleeve of the men’s and women’s playing kits following the collaboration.
BitMEX and AC Milan have inked a multi-year agreement, according to a statement made on August 10th, after which the exchange will have a two-part role.
First and foremost, the exchange will become the team’s very first Official Sleeve Partner. This implies that the BitMEX logo will appear on the sleeves of both the men’s and women’s playing uniforms.
They will also be present in all of AC Milan’s competitions, including the Italian league and the UEFA Champions League.
The Rossoneri’s eSports team, AQM (their moniker), will also have the same branding.
BitMEX will become AC Milan’s Official Cryptocurrency Trading Partner in the second phase. As a result, the club’s supporters will be able to take advantage of special derivatives exchange offers.
“We are delighted to welcome BitMEX to the Rossoneri family as a Principal Partner. Our red and black shirt is not just something our players wear on the pitch, it represents who we are, and it embodies the passion of the over 500 million AC Milan fans across the world. This is truly an exciting partnership and the beginning of a great journey for both brands and our fans.” – commented AC Milan’s Chief Revenue Officer, Casper Stylsvig.
The BitMEX logo will initially appear on the team’s jersey on August 23rd, when AC Milan takes on Sampdoria in Genoa to kick off the Serie A season. The home debut will be against Cagliari in the second Serie A match of the season.
