Bitnovo, one of the most popular bitcoin payment platforms in Spain, has teamed up with Eurocoin, Europe’s leading electronic component supplier, to build 100 cryptocurrency ATMs by 2022.
When it comes to the number of Bitcoin ATMs in Europe, Spain leads the way. In addition, the additional installations would be ranked third in the globe (behind only the U.S. and Canada).
Aside from Bitcoin, the ATMs that have yet to be deployed will accept Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), and Monero (XMR).

Most agreements, according to CEO Fernando Dumont, are a “strategic step” into the bitcoin market. He goes on to say that cryptocurrency will coexist with regular payment methods.

According to CoinATMRadar, there are 34,659 cryptocurrency ATMs around the world, with the most majority (30,806) being placed in the United States. Canada comes in second with 2,261 locations.
