Bitstamp, which is the biggest cryptocurrency exchange in Europe and was recently named the best-centralized cryptocurrency exchange (CEX) in the world by CryptoCompare’s Exchange Benchmark report, now accepts PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL), Apple Pay, and Google Pay wallets.
According to Invezz, Bitstamp added support for Shiba Inu (SHIB) for its non-US customers in June of this year. The latest move comes after a huge amount of demand from US customers as the Doge-inspired cryptocurrency continues to grow in popularity.
Bitstamp adds support for PayPal after Google Pay and Apple Pay
PayPal is the most recent payment method to be added to the exchange. It is also one of the most important additions, given that PayPal has over 325 million accounts around the world.
Bitstamp announced support for Apple Pay and Google Pay at the end of August this year. Apple Pay has more than 500 million users around the world, and Google Pay has more than 150 million.
Bitstamp, on the other hand, has more than 4 million users in 100+ countries. Now that PayPal is available, millions more people can buy Bitcoin with Apple Pay or any of the wallets that support it by quickly topping up their accounts. This also means that Bitstamp works with the most popular wallet apps, bank transfers, and credit cards.
Using PayPal on Bitstamp
Millions of people can now buy Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the crypto exchange quickly and easily from anywhere in the world because the top exchange now works with PayPal.
PayPal users can buy crypto instantly with PayPal by going to Bitstamp’s Deposit page and clicking on Buy with PayPal or Direct Crypto Purchase.
Users will need to sign in to their PayPal account to approve the first transaction, and they can buy up to $2,500 worth of cryptocurrency. Bitstamp also lets PayPal accounts in Euros and Sterling Pounds use this daily limit. For the first time you use PayPal to buy something, there are no trading fees for amounts up to $1,000.
Bitstamp will only accept deposits at first, but it plans to add withdrawals to PayPal soon.
