Cardano Founder Reveals Reason For Vasil Upgrade Delay
Cardano founder, Charles Hoskinson, has revealed the precise rationale behind the project’s team’s decision to push out the start of the Vasil Hard Fork Combinator Event (HFCE) to the following month.
As most projects would have been tempted to send out the update, Hoskinson remarked that developers had finished the coding for the Vasil upgrade and that everything appeared to be ready for launch.
To avoid Cardano encountering a scenario similar to Terra, which led to the crash of $LUNA and $UST, he instructed developers to conduct extra testing.
Prevention Of Another Terra Incident
In a recent video, the Cardano founder stated that the Cardano team chose to delay the introduction of the eagerly awaited Vasil upgrade in order to prevent a repeat of the Terra disaster.
In response to Hoskinson’s request, more tests were added to the Plutius suite as well as additional tests for quality assurance, which he described as going above and beyond what the team typically performs for hard forks.
A few days ago, Cardano revealed it had postponed the introduction of the Vasil upgrade until next month.
A few minor issues were found towards the end of the testing, according to Input-Output Global (IOG), the organization in charge of the Cardano project.
