CoinShares, a European asset manager, is starting a learning campaign to educate Swedish investors about cryptocurrencies.

To promote its Nordic product, CoinShares XBT Provider, CoinShares is increasing its efforts to educate Swedish investors about the cryptocurrency market. The company announced in a press release on Nov. 12.
In order to inform Swedish investors about “crypto’s benefits through positive associations,” the so-called “CoinShares Crypto Puppies” campaign was launched.
According to CoinShares, the ad, which the Swedish firm developed Save our Souls, capitalizes on a distinctive cultural insight: Swedes’ deep affection for dogs. CoinShares:
By tapping into this deep-seated affinity, the campaign seeks to create an unexpected yet heartwarming connection with crypto and foster a more nuanced discussion.”
Studies show that Swedish investors trail behind in cryptocurrency adoption, with only 9% holding cryptocurrencies compared to the European average of 12%, so the European crypto asset manager decided to start the educational campaign.
According to CoinShares CEO Jean-Marie Mognetti, “an unwarranted and repeated negative media coverage focusing on the industry’s challenges could be an explanation” for the drop in cryptocurrency adoption.
The campaign will run for over a month, according to the firm. It will include influencer collaborations, digital videos, billboard advertisements, print ads in “prominent financial magazines,” and outrageous postings.
