Despite the backlash AI receives, it continues to penetrate the crypto industry. Recently, crypto exchange crypto.com launched its AI user assistant dubbed Amy which will inform users about industry insights, including real-time token prices, projects, and historical events.
Globally, artificial intelligence (AI) continues its pervasive penetration in industries. The most recent entrant into the crypto industry is Crypto.com, which has announced its new AI user assistant.
May 2 marked the debut of Crypto.com’s “Amy,” The new AI companion of the cryptocurrency exchange is designed to educate users about the industry, including real-time token prices and projects, historical events, and more. According to the announcement, Amy, which utilizes ChatGPT as its foundation, is in the pilot phase to “gather learnings” before future expansion.
Abhi Bisarya, executive vice president of products at Crypto.com, states that the company is “optimistic” about using artificial intelligence in crypto.
“As with other businesses and sectors, we see incredible potential and opportunity in the convergence of AI with the crypto industry and our platform specifically.”
Responsible implementation of generative AI could have “massive positive implications” for many industries, according to a Crypto.com representative who said that, despite the “early days” of the technology, “massive positive implications” exist.
“This is particularly the case for crypto when it comes to helping educate users about the underlying technology and financial services more broadly.“
As for disadvantages, the spokesperson said they anticipate receiving great feedback from this AI pilot, which will be “integrated into future upgrades.”
Integrating AI into its platform, Crypto.com enters the ranks of other cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets in the industry. OKX exchange has recently introduced an AI algorithm to capture cryptocurrency market volatility.
Solana Labs, a Web3 infrastructure company, announced its ChatGPT-based plugin on April 26. This plugin uses artificial intelligence to retrieve blockchain data for checking wallet balances, transferring tokens, and purchasing nonfungible tickets.
Additionally, Binance introduced an AI chatbot. As part of its Web3 academy, the Binance chatbot prioritizes user education, much like Crypto.com.
Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, and digital asset trading platform, has recently pledged $10 million toward developing the Fetch.ai ecosystem by “providing marketing consultations” and other services to expand Fetch’s business network.
