A number of trading pairs, notably BTM, which experienced a 32% decline have been delisted by OKX.
With reference to tight listing criteria and ongoing performance monitoring, prominent cryptocurrency exchange OKX stated that it was delisting over 20 trading pairs.
This measure will impact many trading pairs across many cryptocurrencies and involves suspending deposits and withdrawals for particular tokens. The delisting process is supposed to start November 9th. Among the pairs mentioned for removal are CELO-USDC, AXS-USDC, and APE-BTC.
On November 10, the HNT-USDT trading pair and Bytom (BTM), which saw a large 32% decline today, will also be eliminated. OKX is experiencing consistent growth.
As of November 3, OKX has already stopped accepting deposits for the impacted tokens, which include HNT, BTM, and SAITAMA. Users are advised to modify their asset management strategies in advance of these changes.
These tokens will also be withdrawn, with withdrawals ending on January 10, 2024. To prevent automatic cancellation, which could cause a processing delay, the exchange urges users to cancel any orders about the affected trading pairs in the interim.
With the historic failure of FTX throughout the year, there is growing worry regarding centralized exchanges and their operations. In this regard, OKX has recently demonstrated a substantial commitment to openness and building user confidence.
The exchange is now the second-largest exchange for both spot and derivative trading, thanks to its steady increase in market share over the last few months. In order to confirm its custody of user assets, the platform has also made available additional proof-of-reserves. As one of the first centralized platforms, the exchange debuted its multi-chain wallet on Apple’s Safari browser.
The exchange reiterates its dedication to offering a strong trading environment and will keep assessing each listed pair’s performance and compliance. In accordance with its customer service policy, OKX requests that any questions regarding the delisting be sent to its support center or communicated with via its online channels.
