According to reports, a South Korean government YouTube channel was hacked and renamed SpaceX Invest. The site then posted fake videos of Elon Musk addressing cryptocurrency.

On September 3, the South Korean government’s YouTube account was briefly compromised and given a new name for posting live broadcasts of videos about cryptocurrencies.

The Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, which is in charge of managing the Youtube account, said that its staff members learned of the situation around six in the morning.

At 7:20 a.m., after taking immediate security precautions, they were able to regain control of the channel.

However, prompt action led to the account being restored within four hours, which was corroborated by a local Yonhap News Agency report (YNA).

The hijacked channel is now known as SpaceX Invest and is streaming movies of SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, according to the screenshot given to YNA by the location.

The YouTube channel’s hacked ID and password were found to be the primary culprits in the hack. According to reports, Google also verified the infiltration.

An anti-government group called “Belarusian Cyber Partisans” recently attempted to sell Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko’s passport as an NFT in another hacking attack.

To support its activities in protest of Minsk’s involvement in the Russian invasion of neighboring Ukraine, the hacktivist collective has been raising cryptocurrency.

Binance initiated an internal investigation to identify the perpetrators of a recent attack that cost KyberSwap $265,000 in user funds, in order to assist in the company’s recovery.

The information was passed on to KyberSwap and law authorities after two individuals were identified by the Binance security team, according to Binance CEO Changpeng ‘CZ’ Zhao.

“Binance is currently acting as a big brother in the cryptocurrency sector.

Binance has secured the entire crypto ecosystem in addition to just its platform, a member of Crypto Twitter noted.
