Disney is releasing a new NFT mobile app with badge-inspired digital collectibles created in collaboration with Dapper Labs.
Disney and Dapper Labs, well-known for creating the NBA Top Shot collection, are teaming up to launch Disney Pinnacle, a new NFT application.
This program, which is intended for mobile devices, will use the Flow blockchain to create distinctive NFTs that look like badges. On its official website, customers can sign up for the waitlist, and its initial release is slated for the Apple App Store.
At nine in the morning, a limited number of customers were granted special early access to Disney Pinnacle. After this, a Dapper official stated that the app would eventually be accessible for web browsers and the Google Play store.
In the NFT market, Dapper Labs has a strong track record. One of the first NFT projects they started, CryptoKitties, is credited with infamously slowing down the Ethereum network.
Dapper and the National Basketball Association introduced NBA Top Shot during the 2020–21 bull market. With a focus on trading tokenized NBA clips, this platform stood out during the NFT boom.
Dapper increased the range of digital memorabilia it offered by adding items from other sports leagues, like the NFL, to capitalize on its success.
An analogous experience will be provided by Disney Pinnacle, which will let users trade digital “pins” that showcase Disney’s intellectual properties. This implies that well-known figures from “Toy Story,” such as Snow White, Woody, Buzz, and Baby Yoda, might turn into digital collectibles.
