Following AMC CEO Adam Aron tweet where he indicated that Dogecoin may be accepted as a payment option at its theatres in the future, Elon Musk says Dogecoin fees need to drop before becoming a viable option for retail purchases .
Musk responded to Twitter user Shibetoshi Nakamoto, also known as dogecoin co-creator Billy Markus, saying, “It’s super critical for Doge fees to lower to enable things like buying movie tix viable.”

Aron questioned his Twitter followers on Wednesday if the movie theatre business should accept cryptocurrency as payment. According to Aron, almost 77% of respondents, or about 140,000 people, voted in support of the notion.

Starting later this year, the movie theater chain plans to take Bitcoin, Etherum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash for online payments.
