Gitcoin has declared that ecosystem rounds for Arbitrum and Celo are part of the twenty-first edition of its grants program, Gitcoin Grants 21.
The current round of the quarterly funding program, Gitcoin Grants 21, features the ecosystems of Arbitrum and Celo.
It launched on August 7 and runs until August 21. The decentralized crowdfunding site Gitcoin said in a blog post that Gitcoin Grants 21 will prioritize community participation, partnerships, and governance.
Nine community rounds will be included in the 11 quadratic funding rounds of GC21 and the two ecosystem rounds.
Gitcoin Grants 21 will have matching funds exceeding $800,000 over 11 quadratic funding rounds. Gitcoin Grants is a community-curated project financing platform for Ethereum (ETH) ecosystem builders introduced in 2019.
Details about the program, which has received support from 270,270,000 unique users, indicate that it has distributed more than $60 million as of August 7. The quarterly funding rounds have benefited over 3,700 projects.
 Arbitrum and Celo Rounds
GC21 support for Arbitrum will concentrate on projects aimed at decentralized apps, core infrastructure, and developer tools, with a matching pool of 150,000 ARB.
Funding for Celo will be directed toward projects centered around regenerative finance, real-world assets, and decentralized physical infrastructure, with an emphasis on practical blockchain use cases. Two major blockchain industries gaining significant interest are ReFi, RWA, and DePIN.
In July, Celo Public Goods revealed the opening of the Gitcoin Grants stack on the Celo blockchain, revealing two initial rounds with matching pools of $75,000 and $100,000 for real-world constructors, respectively.
There will be a matching pool of $75,000 in Celo Dollars, the native stablecoin, to fund the Celo ecosystem.
