After being recently listed by Kraken exchange, the SHIB token seems to be having better days as Newegg, an American online retailer in a recent tweet stated it is now accepting Shiba Inu as a payment option.
Newegg, a prominent American electronics shop, is continuing to diversify its payment options by accepting major cryptocurrency and mem, Shiba Inu (SHIB).
Newegg said on November 29 that it will begin accepting SHIB as part of its holiday advertising campaign “around early December.”

Newegg teamed with bitcoin payments company BitPay to allow the new payment option. In April 2021, the company enabled payments in another dog-themed digital currency, Dogecoin (DOGE), using BitPay.
“We have the potential to react swiftly and lead the industry with flexible bitcoin payment alternatives thanks to our cooperation with BitPay.“
To that end, Andrew Choi, Newegg’s head of brand marketing, said, “We’re delighted to offer SHIB as a payment option on Newegg.com.”
When Newegg first joined with BitPay in 2014, it became one of the first large online shopping stores to take Bitcoin (BTC), as previously reported. The feature was first introduced in the United States, but the company has now expanded it to more than 70 nations.
Crypto use for payments is gaining traction in a variety of industries. After months of teases, AMC theatres announced this month that it was officially taking four main cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ether (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Litecoin (LTC).
