Justice Emeka Nwite will rule on Binance’s tax evasion case in Nigeria on October 11.
Nigerian Justice Emeka Nwite has recently designated October 11 as the date for the trial of Binance Holdings Limited, a well-known cryptocurrency platform.
For neglecting to register with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), the platform and its two directors are currently facing a four-count tax evasion charge.
Binance’s attorney, Ayodele Omotilewa, has pleaded not guilty to the accusations and requested that the court dismiss them.
Concurrently, Nadeem Anjarwalla and Tigran Gambaryan, executives of Binance, were cleared of comparable tax evasion charges in June; however, they continue to be subjected to distinct allegations of money laundering.
