On May 24, Aptos (APT) set a new record with 97.48 million daily transactions, surpassing Sui’s previous 65 million transaction record.
As per the data provided by Onchain, an altcoin surpassed the previous daily transaction record set by its users.
On May 24, Aptoscan, the block explorer of the Aptos (APT) network, surpassed the previous record by processing 97.48 million user transactions in a single day. Sui, an alternative layer 1 blockchain network, had previously established this benchmark with a total of 65 million transactions.
The TPS value of Aptos users, or transaction speed per second, also attained an all-time high of 27,000.
It is hypothesized that a game released on the Aptos network broke these records.
As of writing, Aptos, with an estimated market value of $4 billion, ranks as the 26th largest blockchain globally. Nevertheless, Aptos has gained approximately 11% this week due to the approval of Ethereum Spot ETFs and the general market upswing. This places APT among the altcoins with the greatest weekly increase in value.
Aptos, which is listed on three of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world—Binance, Coinbase, and Upbit—is currently trading at a significant discount to its all-time high price of $19.90, which was surpassed in January of last year.
