AMC Mobile App Accepts Dogecoin, Shiba Inu Payments
AMC mobile app for AMC’s U.S. theatres has announced that it now accepts online payments using DogeCoin, Shiba Inu, and other cryptocurrencies.

AMC Theatres started accepting crypto payments a few months ago, and now you can use its app to buy movie tickets using Dogecoin, Shiba Inu tokens, and other cryptocurrencies. According to CEO Adam Aron, the app uses Bitpay to process cryptocurrency payments, which are now only accepted in the United States. Tickets can also be purchased with Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and a good old-fashioned credit card.
Exactly as promised, the AMC mobile app for AMC’s U.S. theatres now accepts online payments using Doge Coin, Shiba Inu, and other crypto currencies — thanks to Bitpay. Also Apple Pay, Google Pay and Paypal. To do so, you first will need to update to the latest version of our app. pic.twitter.com/MMy7SIxYbl

Customers appear to have embraced AMC's cryptocurrency adoption. Crypto payments accounted for 14 percent of online transactions shortly after AMC enabled them on the web. So, if you have any Dogecoin in your wallet that has been sitting there since someone gave it to you as a joke in 2014, grab your phone and book a cinema ticket for this long weekend.
