Hoskinson shared his support via a post on X, outlining why he believes Armstrong is uniquely qualified for the position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Hoskinson Supports Armstrong<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hoskinson emphasized that the role requires someone neutral, knowledgeable about the nuances of cryptocurrency, and aware of the missteps by the Biden Administration regarding crypto regulation. He stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe role needs to be filled with someone neutral who works with all the protocols and deeply understands why crypto is special. [They] also need to understand what the US government under Biden has done wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

According to Hoskinson, Armstrong stands out as the only candidate in the crypto industry who fits this description. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that Coinbase has become a foundational institution in the crypto space, enduring challenges such as the SEC\u2019s legal battle against it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Citing Armstrong\u2019s leadership during Coinbase\u2019s growth<\/a> and challenges, Hoskinson expressed confidence that he is the right person to guide the Trump administration on crypto policy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He believes Armstrong could unite the industry and lead efforts to implement meaningful actions, including crafting new laws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoskinson\u2019s endorsement comes amid reports from Bloomberg \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>that President-Elect Trump is considering establishing the first-ever White House crypto advisory position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump\u2019s team is reportedly consulting with industry leaders and vetting candidates for the role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoskinson\u2019s Contributions to Crypto Advocacy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the same post, Hoskinson detailed his own efforts to advance the crypto industry. He highlighted his focus on legislative efforts to counter past federal government abuses and create a regulatory framework encouraging mainstream crypto adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He shared plans to travel to Washington, D.C., to meet with lawmakers and formally advise them on crypto policy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, Hoskinson announced a new initiative, Operation Baseline<\/em>, set to launch in January 2025 through Input Output (IO) Policy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
