Mada Aflak, a senior software engineer at Twitter\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, uploaded a video explaining how users may add NFTs to their accounts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users may change their profile, link a cryptocurrency wallet, and import their OpenSea collection with a few clicks. They can then select an avatar from their digital art collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The profile picture will also be tagged with a badge to certify that it is the real deal, allowing them to flaunt their obscenely expensive CryptoPunk or Bored Ape profile picture with confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The walkthrough, according to Aflak, was only a test utilizing a mock-up, so anything may change, and she encouraged users to provide feedback and suggestions<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the verified profile pic has gotten all of the attention so far, Messari Research Analyst Mason Nystrom hypothesized on alternative uses for Twitter's crypto wallet integration<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verifying how long a user has had an asset, proposing follows for other NFT owners, buying and selling directly from Twitter profiles, and generating social networks of NFT owners are just some of the possibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's Twitter's latest crypto-friendly step, following the integration of Lightning payments with Twitter profiles last week, allowing users to send and receive Bitcoin for tips or other payments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
