Cosmos stated its Sagan blockchain \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>was currently in development in its quarterly keynote report, published on Oct. 19. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a remark from famous astronomer Carl Sagan and a picture of a canary among the stars, the project teased the blockchain's debut in a video message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The canary picture could refer to the blockchain's status as an experimental “canary network,” as Polkadot's Kusama test network is known.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The blockchain, in Kusama's case, allows developers to create and use a parachain, as well as test Polkadot's governance, staking, and other functionalities in a real-world setting<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the March debut of its inter-blockchain communication protocol, which allows crypto assets to be readily transferred across compatible blockchains, including those in decentralized finance, Cosmos has seen steady growth. The Cosmos ecosystem has seen 1,285,426 transactions in the last 30 days, according to data from Mapofzones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cosmos is also developing rollup scaling technology, which will allow developers to create Cosmos-based blockchains as rollups that may be deployed as clusters within the inter-blockchain<\/a> communication protocol's zones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Optimint solution, which is based on the Tendermint architecture, is designed to be a “drop-in replacement.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
