Twitter Officially Launched its Own Cryptocurrency Team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to a story published by The Financial Times \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>on Wednesday, Twitter has formed its own cryptocurrency team in order to participate in the decentralized internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tess Rinearson, a seasoned blockchain developer, will lead the newly formed team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September, Twitter launched a Bitcoin tipping service<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> for iOS users, and it was later tested on Android smartphones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The startup is also developing a feature that will allow users to display their non-fungible tokens (NFTs)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Twitter will begin investigating decentralized applications and the Web3 ecosystem as a whole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its crypto-related activities, the corporation also wants to “push the frontiers,” according to Rinearson:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking farther ahead, we\u2019ll be exploring how ideas from crypto communities can help us push the boundaries of what\u2019s possible with identity, community, ownership and more.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
