Due to ongoing issues with Dogecoin (DOGE\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>) withdrawals on Binance, Twitter has become a battleground for another cryptocurrency-related battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elon Musk, one of the world's biggest Dogecoin supporters, took to Twitter<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> on Tuesday to raise concerns about DOGE withdrawals on Binance. Musk wrote, tagging Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, “What's up with your Doge customers?” “That sounds shady.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Binance's official Twitter account waited almost 30 minutes to respond, stating<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> that there is nothing suspicious about the situation and referencing a new Twitter <\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a>update about it. “The primary problem is a technical fault that occurred during the recent upgrade process, causing outdated transactions to be resent to 1,674 users,” Binance explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some Binance<\/a> users received old transactions as a result of the problem, while others were unable to withdraw their Dogecoin. “We have graciously asked people who have received the old transactions to refund them, although we are aware that some users are experiencing difficulty accessing some of the wallets.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company went on to clarify that the problem only happened on Binance since the site has a “different technical wallet set-up for DOGE.” Binance will have to rebuild the wallet entirely to resolve the issue, which might take “another week or so,” according to the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apparently dissatisfied with Binance's response, Tesla's CEO proceeded to criticize the exchange, saying, “Doge holders utilizing Binance should be safeguarded from faults that are not their responsibility.” Musk also highlighted<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> a Dogecoin Developers forum in which it was explained that the problem began “a little more than a year ago.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Binance CEO Zhao later entered the forum, claiming that the issue is due to the “latest Doge wallet.” “We're in contact with the developers,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zhao also responded to Musk by citing a report in The Guardian<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> that Tesla software had a malfunction in October, causing a safety recall of approximately 12,000 vehicles in the United States. To resolve the issue, Tesla had to cancel the FSD upgrade on all vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
