The Chief Technology Officer of SushiSwap<\/a> Joseph Delong has resigned from his position with immediate effect on Wednesday, he cited internal structural problems as a reason while also wishing Sushi the best.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Joseph Delong, the chief technology officer of SushiSwap, the 13th largest decentralized exchange \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>(DEX) by trade volume, announced his resignation late Wednesday. Delong stated the following in explaining his decision:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I wish Sushi the best and am saddened that Sushi is so imperiled within and without. The chaos that is occurring now is unlikely to result in a resolution that will leave the DAO as much more of a shadow than it once was without a radical structural transformation.”<\/p>

Delong had previously expressed disappointment about SushiSwap's failure to deploy on Optimism, an Ethereum layer two scaling solution (ETH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delong also stated that after the SushiSwap token launchpad<\/a> was hacked for $3 million, he received no help from centralized exchanges about the perpetrators' identity, calling it the “hardest day of my life so far.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it appears that Delong's decision was influenced by more than just the project's technical difficulties. Delong tweeted screenshots of alleged harassment from SushiSwap users in a series of follow-up Tweets after the announcement, to which he responded, “it's the community that does it for me.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I highly recommend the installation of a C-suite<\/a> from outside the DAO [Decentralized Autonomous Organization] and give them the tools to effectively manage a team.
