Ready Player Me<\/a>, a platform for games that take place in the virtual world (Metaverse), has raised $13 million in its first round of funding, the platform seeks to use the fund in planning for its avatar interoperability between the metaverse.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The funding was led by the co-founders of Wise and Teleport, Taavet+Sten, as well as the co-founder of GitHub, Tom Preston-Werner, Samsung Next, Konvoy Ventures, and Gmoney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform wants to use the money to move forward with its plans for avatar interoperability\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> between metaverse worlds. This project supports the idea that there are many different digital worlds instead of just one, which is a common criticism of Meta, the company that used to be called Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ready Player Me will also add more than 70 new employees and help its community of developers by introducing new application program interfaces and software development kits. This will help improve the front-end user experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the avatar model from Ready Player Me is used by more than 1,000 businesses and organizations, from Somnium Space to Verizon, all over the world. In addition, the platform has worked with well-known commercial brands <\/a>like Warner Brothers, Dior, and New Balance, as well as many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daniel Marcinkowski, the team's marketing manager, said in an official blog post that the team wants to build the best avatar system for developers across the metaverse. CEO Timmu Tke said: “We want to build the best avatar system for developers across the metaverse<\/a>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
