Jerome Baker Designs, the celebrity glass pipe maker, will release a series of bong-related NFTs\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> attached to matching tangible assets early next month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NFTs on FDCTech's Ethereum-based platform show each bong's unique glassblowing technique and offer additional benefits. They'll be released on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 13), and the physical bongs that go with them will be auctioned off at Superchief Gallery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the smoking products marketplace SLX, Jason Harris, the founder and president of Jerome Baker Designs, is one of the top ten glassblowers in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He started the company in the early 1990s and has worked with celebrities such as Snoop Dogg<\/a>, George Clooney, the Grateful Dead, Santana, and Rita Marley on custom-made pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He expressed his enthusiasm for entering the world of crypto-driven digital art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs an artist, we need a certificate of authenticity to connect to the art. NFTs act as a certificate of authenticity and create value and legacy.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

While other types of art, such as sculptures and paintings<\/a>, can be bronzed or copied, glassblowing, according to Harris, is a one-time endeavor that cannot be duplicated. “You'll have a detailed account of the artwork's production, and therein lies the magic.” It's the equivalent of purchasing a pair of Jordans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you ever intend to sell them, the packaging must be in excellent shape. The NFT serves as an authenticity certificate, while the artwork serves as the package.” The five bong NFTs set to debut on Super Bowl Sunday, according to Harris, will be inspired by his Burnt Orange collection, which has translucent bright orange glass bongs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jerome Baker Designs has been accepting Bitcoin since 2012, so this isn't their first journey into blockchain.
