Intel Sets to Unveil The “Bonanza Mine”<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

According to the conference's agenda, Intel, one of the world's largest chip makers, is expected to unveil a specialized crypto-mining chip at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>) in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Bonanza Mine: An Ultra-Low-Voltage Energy-Efficient Bitcoin Mining ASIC” is one of Intel's “highlighted chip releases” at the conference. The meeting will take place on February 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time, the company will compete directly with Bitmain and MicroBT in the market for bitcoin mining ASICs, or application-specific integrated circuits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crypto mining has in the past sparked<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> outrage among gamers by driving up demand and costs for graphics processing units, notably Intel's. Intel, unlike its competitor Nvidia, has stated that it does not intend to impose ether mining restrictions on its graphics cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitmain Unveils the Antminer S19 Pro+ Hyd <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bitmain<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, one of the largest bitcoin mining rig manufacturers in the world, has released the Antminer S19 Pro+ Hyd., which is the company's first product to combine liquid cooling technology with increased hashpower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to a tweet, the mining machine will have a hashrate of 198 TH\/s, a power efficiency of 27.5 joules per terahash (J\/TH) at 35\u00b0C, and power consumption of 5445 watts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The previous top-of-the-line Antminer, the S19 XP, has a hashrate of 140 TH\/s, power efficiency of 21.5 J\/TH (at 25\u00b0C), and consumes approximately 3010 watts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new model will also feature Bitmain's Antspace HK3 mining container and will feature the “latest liquid cooling technology.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Liquid cooling an Alternative to Traditional Air Cooling <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Liquid cooling, which allows mining machines to be immersed in a synthetic hydrocarbon compound liquid that has no electrical conductivity and is fully biodegradable, has become more popular in recent years as an alternative to traditional air cooling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This specialized liquid can reduce computer heat, power consumption, and noise while also extending the machines' lifespan, allowing miners to maximize profit in an increasingly competitive market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitmain's website does not list pricing for the X19 Pro+ Hyd., but it does state that the new rigs will be available between May and September of this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
