Prior to the start of the Alpha Season II, The Sandbox, one of the most popular blockchain-based metaverse game experiences, released 10,000 Snoop Dogg avatar NFTs on February 22, 2022. It's fantastic news for fans of both Snoop Dogg and The Sandbox<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The NFT collection, titled \u2018The Doggies\u2019<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

They're one-of-a-kind avatars created by rapper Snoop Dogg\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> for use in The Sandbox's popular blockchain-based metaverse<\/a>. The new NFT Doggies are avatars that can have human or blue features, alien or zombie looks, dog or robot faces, and even gold faces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Twitter, The Sandbox mentions one in particular. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's Snoop Dogg's Doggie NFT for Gucci, one of 10,000 handcrafted avatars <\/a>clothed in a costume inspired by the iconic Italian luxury fashion house Gucci's new Love Parade campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playing the Game in The Sandbox\u2019s upcoming Alpha Season 2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The NFTs will be playable in the upcoming Alpha Season 2 of The Sandbox. On February 22nd, at 10 p.m. UTC, interested users began minting on the platform, paying 150 SAND <\/a>(plus gas expenses) for each NFT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snoop Dogg has also made available a ‘Snoopverse Early Access Pass' and a ‘Snoop Private Party Pass' in addition to the new avatars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The former will get customers early access to The Sandbox's Snoop Dogg Metaverse <\/a>Experiences, as well as additional perks like unique NFT drops and Whitelist access to the ‘Doggies' drop. Meanwhile, the latter is a ticket to Snoop's debut Metaverse show as well as an invitation to Snoop's Private Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snoop Dogg<\/a> was an early supporter of the metaverse and NFTs. Dogg disclosed in September of last year that he has been accumulating NFTs under the moniker Cozomo de' Medici, and that as of February 2021, he had $17 million in NFT <\/a>holdings. In March of last year, he also launched his debut NFT collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, one of his most recent metaverse endeavors is the transformation of Death Row Records into the first NFT music company. On February 10, 2022, the 50-year-old rapper purchased the corporation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
