According to a Monday press release, popular cryptocurrency ATM operator Bitcoin of America has added meme cryptocurrency Shiba Inu<\/a> (SHIB) to its list of available cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitcoin of America enabled support for Dogecoin, the world's largest meme cryptocurrency, last month, causing the price of the joke coin to skyrocket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the recent addition, Shiba Inu is still down 3% in the last 24 hours as of press time. The Dogecoin competitor has not risen in value as a result of the news. The SHIB token is currently trading at $0.00002587 on the Binance exchange, down 70.01 percent from its all-time high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ATMs for cryptocurrency are similar to traditional teller machines. They typically charge fees in the double digits, which are significantly higher than those charged by popular cryptocurrency exchanges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitcoin of America debuted its universal kiosk a year ago, which combines the features of a crypto ATM and a traditional ATM. Customers can buy cryptocurrency right after dispensing cash with their debit card at universal kiosks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Coin ATM Radar data, Bitcoin of America operates 1,841 ATMs across the United States. After receiving FinCEN approval, it maintains a federal registration as a money services business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The addition of Shiba Inu is expected to significantly increase the meme coin's adoption. The token was also added to AMC's list of supported cryptocurrencies last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
