Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) took to Twitter to announce that the Lazarus Group has recovered $5.8 million from 86 accounts on the exchange. As of press time, the primary wallet linked to the hackers held\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> almost $280 million in ETH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to data from blockchain security firm Elliptics, hackers have been sending assets to CEXs using decentralized crypto mixers like Tornado Cash, as well as swapping a portion of the stolen USDC for Ether on DEXs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
