The crypto community has been outraged by a slew of recent YouTube<\/a> bans on famous crypto channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a storm of complaints against the streaming site, Bankless, the most well-known of the bunch, was reinstated on the platform on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The channel, which has over 150,000 subscribers and is one of the most prominent YouTube crypto channels, claims there was no warning or rationale for the block.\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

YouTube provides little information about the restrictions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

However, Bankless is not the only cryptocurrency channel that has been banned by YouTube. Other educational web3 accounts, such as Gabriel Haines and Optimism PBC, have also been suspended, according to Aave founder Stani Kulechov.<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While YouTube has announced it will investigate the other two accounts, their channels are currently down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Bankless, the company provided no notice or rationale for the ban. Haines verified<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> his channel's deactivation on Twitter, claiming that the site had removed it due to “inactivity,” which he rejected. Haines' entire channel appears to have been permanently deleted without warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Optimism has yet to comment on the situation. Crypto Love, a YouTube channel, appears to have been banned as well and is appealing<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a> the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crypto community is against the prohibitions<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Several Twitter users slammed the bans, particularly because they were imposed without warning or rationale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

YouTube's targeting of instructional channels like Bankless was also criticized by users. They also pointed out that the platform still allows several other outlets to sell crypto-related scams within its confines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users also called for a decentralized YouTube alternative. Kulechov, who was recently banned and reinstated on Twitter following a humorous tweet, pondered the possibility of creating such an alternative<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a>.
