Armstrong went on to say about India's intention to put a shadowban on <a href=\"https:\/\/coinscreed.com\/staging\/the-financial-conduct-authority.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">crypto businesses<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\" id=\"h-basically-they-re-applying-soft-pressure-behind-the-scenes-to-try-to-disable-some-of-these-payments-which-might-be-going-through-upi-i-guess-we-have-a-concern-that-they-may-be-actually-in-violation-of-the-supreme-court-ruling\"><p>\u201cBasically they're applying soft pressure behind the scenes to try to disable some of these payments which might be going through UPI. I guess we have a concern that they may be actually in violation of the Supreme Court ruling.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the obvious regulatory obstacles, Coinbase is preparing for a relaunch in the region by offering new payment methods in order to meet the huge demand for cryptocurrency. And the way that we push the conversation forward is by taking action.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-crypto-in-india\">Crypto in India<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>India passed its first set of <a href=\"https:\/\/coinscreed.com\/staging\/indian-government-may-seek-legislation-banning-some-cryptocurrencies.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">crypto legislation<\/a> on April 1, requiring crypto investors to pay a 30% tax on unrealized crypto earnings.
