Ari Paul, the founder of blockchain investment firm Blocktower Capital, commented on the bear market, comparing it to the tech crash of 2000. Paul compares Bitcoin (BTC<\/a>) to Amazon, one of the corporations that survived the market crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul stated\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> in a Twitter conversation that while there are “small” products in the crypto market, many changes must be made before they can reach the public. Paul also claims that adoption is “5 years behind” what many people expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO also mentioned network disruptions in Solana (SOL<\/a>), difficulties in scaling Ethereum (ETH<\/a>), and Bitcoin's security and future upgrades, which are overlooked during bull runs but “feel quite different” during bear markets, stating that optimism is no longer enough in this situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following that, Paul compared today's crypto market to the Nasdaq market in 2000, claiming that most cryptos are dangerous and in their early stages. However, the Blocktower founder stated that something akin to “Amazon” will survive the crash. He thinks it could be Bitcoin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Paul, Bitcoin has “much better odds” than other cryptocurrencies because it lacks a competitor in terms of both product and technology. He stated on Twitter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite appearing negative, Paul clarified that he is “more positive” on cryptocurrency now than he was nearly a year ago. He only wishes to caution people to be cautious about what they purchase amid the present market collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
