In a press release published on June 22, eBay said that it has purchased the top NFT marketplace KnownOrigin in order to usher in a new era of digital collecting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jamie Iannone, CEO of eBay, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201ceBay is the first stop for people across the globe who are searching for that perfect, hard-to-find, or unique addition to their collection and, with this acquisition, we will remain a leading site as our community is increasingly adding digital collectibles\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, he thinks KnownOrigin is a top NFT marketplace that has amassed a remarkable, fervent, and devoted set of creators and collectors. Additionally, they are a wonderful complement to the eBay marketplace for sellers and consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A tech-driven reimagination is now taking on at eBay to improve the company's technology<\/a>, performance, and customer experience. This includes developing tools that will make it simpler for users to find, sell, and purchase anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, the CEO of eBay made hints about accepting cryptocurrency payments, noting that the platform previously allowed users to buy and trade NFTs in May 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commenting on the success of KnownOrigin and the acquisition, David Moore, co-founder, KnownOrigin, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KnownOrigin NFT Marketplace<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Top artists and collectors have found KnownOrigin to be one of the most effective NFT marketplaces. Additionally, it has teamed with well-known businesses including Adidas, Netflix<\/a>, and Adobe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KnownOrigin completed its Series A investment round in February of this year, raising $4 million.
