Snoop Dogg and Eminem, both of whom are Dr. Dre's proteges, looked to have animosity against one another barely a year and a half ago. The renowned rappers are now featured in a new music video as Bored Apes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 24, Eminem tweeted that a new song titled “From The D 2 The LBC” would be made available. The post included the single's comic book-style artwork, which featured two cartoon monkeys that represented Snoop Dogg and Slim Shady as well as their affiliation with the Bored Ape Yacht Club\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> (BAYC). He quickly sent out another tweet promoting the video in response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two hip-hop icons have come together to share a brand-new music video with their fans. This time, they highlighted the nonfungible token (NFT) collection Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), which was created on the Ethereum blockchain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new music video, “From The D 2 The LBC,” features Snoop Dogg<\/a> and Eminem as animated gorillas. It was created in association with the BAYC by 1st AMENDMENT and Young California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The refrain of the song features the two of them praising their respective hometowns of Long Beach and Detroit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPut your doobies high if you reside in 213, let\u2019s see them blunts raised \/ Whether you east side or west side of the 313, let\u2019s see them guns blaze.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The focus of the video then switches to Em and Snoop, who transform into animated, Bored Ape-style avatars as they sing their verses. The duo recently performed the song live at Ape Fest 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should be mentioned that Snoop and Eminem have already dabbled in the NFT scene<\/a> and are therefore already familiar with it. Eminem, also known as Marshall Mathers III, paid $462,000 for an NFT on the OpenSea NFT marketplace and joined the Bored Ape Yacht Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with “industry VIPs” like Justin Bieber, Bruce Willis, and Ashton Kutcher, Snoop Dogg was revealed in April as a significant investor in MoonPay, an on- and off-ramp service.
