This is a significant step in strengthening its legal team. Judge Analisa Torres has granted the motion to practice pro hac vice. However, the latest addition to the team suggests that legal processes may be prolonged in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attorney Jeremy Hogan, who is involved in the Ripple case, stated that this addition is just little extra research power before heading into the summary judgment motions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the release of the proposed schedule for summary judgment, it was previously stated that the litigation will be extended till 2023. The parties decided to begin the opening brief on August 2, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final briefs, however, are due on December 20, 2022. Meanwhile, Ripple Lab's general counsel has suggested that the matter may be decided in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attorney Hogan also stated that Judge Netburn may rule on the Hinman emails this week. The motions to strike expert witnesses are also due on Tuesday of next week. He also stated that he is looking forward to the defendant's motion to strike Mr. Doody's expert report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Robert Cohen, former SEC Cyber Unit Chief, this litigation will be crucial in resolving future difficulties. If the commission's case against Ripple is lost, it will submit a motion for reconsideration.
