It is not easy getting Dehkunle of Africa<\/strong>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a> for a short conversation. The first attempts go without reply. His full name is Adekunle Omilana<\/strong>. He got his moniker, \u201cDehkunle of Africa<\/strong>\u201d in his early days on Twitter, while trying to be different from other people bearing the same name as him. He had to go through \u201cEw\u00far\u00e9 of Africa<\/strong>\u201d, and \u201cvibed\u201d with it for a while before settling for his present handle<\/use><\/svg><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winning through NFTs<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dehkunle started trading cryptocurrency back in the year 2018 before he finally took it seriously in 2019. His first attempt was not a serious thing to him, not until he discovered the opportunities in the following year. His biggest win didn\u2019t come until 2021 with NFTs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He says “There was this NFT between August- September. Back to back. There was this NFT Loot that we had. There was also, AGLD, a coin that Loot holders could claim. They could claim 3 to 4 NFTs<\/a> that were crazy. Loot went to about 6 (ETH) in price” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He explained how he bought an airdrop that yielded massively for him “The fun part was when you claim AGLD, you can claim their Airdrop. I claimed their Airdrop and it pumped by 600%. And because of this, I had more\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life before crypto<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before crypto, Adekunle Omilana was a content creator; he recorded videos and short skits. He was a model for different brands. There was a beauty contest that made him some money with some brands. He did that much before he got into cryptocurrency trading. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crypto is perfect, people are not<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On what he hoped to change in the crypto space, Dehkunle of Africa projects that the system is perfect as it is and he does not want anything to change. However, he would prefer people to change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his words, “Everything (in cryptocurrency<\/a>) is perfect, it's the people that are not perfect. If you try to make people perfect, I think it will lead to government regulation which is bad for crypto”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that there are many countries in the world that are crypto-friendly and tax-free. However, America is one of the countries with a lot of rules and regulations, especially as regards taxes on crypto which makes it a bit difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dehkunle also proffered possible solutions of a regularized crypto space to curb scams though he denied it being possible and said that people should be wary of the projects that they embark on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo your research and look before you leap to avoid being a victim of scams<\/a>\u201d, he advised. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Life outside crypto trading<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When he is not trading crypto, Adekunle Omilana is like every other person on a resting day; Netflix and Chilling. He watches the news, Netflix, or  YouTube videos on crypto. He also makes posts on Twitter<\/a>, joins Twitter spaces, and creates content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his spare time, Dehkunle does what he describes as “going out to touch grass”<\/em>. This will imply getting in touch with nature, fresh breeze, and escaping the thrill of a confined space. This is while not ignoring the next thing that would bring more money. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disappointments and convictions<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Even if he has come this far, there was a time Dehkunle wanted to leave crypto. It was in the first week of January 2021. Crypto disappointed him. He lost almost all his money in crypto. He did not only lose his profits but those he got from content creation and Twitter marketing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He described it as a “very bad experience.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
