According to a study by Blockdata, between September 2021 and June 2022, 40 of the biggest companies<\/a> in the world put about $6 billion into Blockchain Investment companies. The study examined the investment activity of the 100 biggest public companies by market cap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blockdata used the size of the funding rounds as a proxy for the total amount invested, saying that it is impossible to figure out how much each participant in a round put in. Samsung<\/a> invested in 13 companies, more than any other company. Alphabet, which owns Google<\/a>, took part in four funding rounds that brought in a total of $1.5 billion for Blockchain Investment and cryptocurrency companies. This was the most money raised by any company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study shows that blockchain technology and crypto are becoming more popular. BlackRock (BLK), the largest asset manager in the world, took part in rounds worth $1.2 billion, and Morgan Stanley (MS) took part in rounds worth $1.1 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alphabet put money into four companies, including Fireblocks, which makes technology for crypto custody. Dapper Labs makes software for the Flow blockchain; voltage, which makes infrastructure for the Bitcoin network; and Digital Currency Group<\/a>, which is a company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
