Wyre crypto payment network is no longer supported by the cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask, according to rumors that Wyre will shortly cease operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 5, MetaMask said on Twitter that Wyre had been taken off of their mobile aggregator\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/g>\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n <\/clipPath>\r\n <\/defs><\/svg><\/span><\/a>, which enables users to purchase cryptocurrency straight via its digital wallet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users were urged not to use Wyre on the mobile aggregator by MetaMask, who added, “We're working on extension removal and appreciate your patience.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The notice states that MetaMask continues to support a large variety of other payment gateways, including Transak, MoonPay, and Sardine. According to MetaMask, the services are accessible via Apple Pay, bank cards, and transfers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The information was released shortly after Wyre CEO Ioannis Giannaros allegedly informed staff members that the company will soon cease operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Giannaros allegedly said, “We'll keep doing everything we can, but I want everyone to prepare themselves for the possibility that we will need to wind the firm down over the next couple of weeks.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wyre, a significant cryptocurrency payment company<\/a>, was established in San Francisco in 2013 and almost sold for $1.5 billion last year. The American e-commerce firm Bolt decided to buy Wyre in April 2022.
